Hi all, upside down greetings from New Zealand,
Purchased a 2005 GZ250 in blue on Friday - 16k km (10k miles). I'm a more mature(!) rider and not been on a bike for over 15 years, but seriously glad to be back on 2 wheels. I now regret not doing this years ago, I've had so much fun this weekend hooli'ing around the neighbourhood. I'm looking forward to meeting you all properly on the forums over the next few weeks Phil Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Hi there,
It's been on the news over here about the miners trapped underground on South Island. Hope they get them out o.k., like the miners in South America. Are you North or South island? Reckon you should be able to ride all year round, like me, & unlike the Americans & Canadians on this site. :2tup:

I reckon I will be able to ride all year, provided I don't mind getting wet. There no snow (except very rarely), and on the few days there is an overnight frost it is gone by 8.30-9. So that leave the 9 months a year when it can go from brilliant blue sky to rain in 10 minutes, and back again to sun again via gale winds. In the spring the locals joke that if you don't like the weather, wait 20 minutes. Regarding the miners - whilst nobody is saying anything, it's now been 3 days and no-one has entered the mine due to the high levels of methane gas - that can't be good.......
