I thought I was going to but couldn't bear to push the engine that far. It sounded too "unhappy" before it got to that point. Do a search here for "limiter" or "rev limiter". That term is unique enough that there shouldn't be TOO many hits. P.S. The rev limiter is a safety feature and not a recommended top operating speed for the engine. We've had one or two riders here that treated the rev limiter as a shift indicator and their engines didn't last too long. :skull:

Re: Rev Limiter??
Thanks Easy Rider...this was something my dad wanted me to look into. I want to improve my shifting skills and do the least amount of damage to the engine as I'm learning to ride.
Thanks again!
