Hi from Halifax
Hi Everyone,
I just bought my first motorcycle, Not surprisingly (considering where this is being posted ) it was a GZ250. A lovely red 2001. My partner and I learned to ride motorcycles last summer and I became hooked. Kept looking for a motorcycle to turn up at a good price and a Marauder won the race. I look forward to learning a lot and hopefully in time contributing to the forums. Clockwork (Alex) Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Re: Hi from Halifax
Welcome, Alex! The pics I've seen of the red GZs are, indeed, lovely...although an orange color to go with your screen name would have been fun.

Re: Hi from Halifax
Thanks everyone! My bike is in the shop right now getting a spring clean and the carb cleaned (figured I would let the pro's handle it's first tune up). I am getting anxious to ride it again!

Re: Hi from Halifax
As your bike is already in the shop it should have a valve adjustment.Valves should be checked and or adjusted every 5000kms.

Re: Hi from Halifax
Thanks Blaine! Yep already got the vales checked. I went for the "check everything" program, so that I wouldn't have to worry about it for the rest of the riding season. Also this way I can keep better check on it for it's routine maintenance.
