Pioneer Town and nitght at the Joshua Tree NF

Hello, there.
This weekend ride to share....
Just some photots...
Camping at the Joshua Tree NF was a nice experience for me.
Ha ha ha,,,, night temp. was almost 60 degree.
I had to wake up earlier this morning because of the temperature... ha ha ha.
Anyway, here are the photos to share.
PS: I may need some better camera which has some night time long exposure functions...
And, I want to buy a telescope to view STARs on the sky, and study some astronomy (not astrology???) ha ha ha

There are about 10 camp grounds at the Joshua Tree.
The place that I spent was .. I think, Bellea (Bella??), not correctly remember it.
Camp site was at the center of the park.
Ryan and couple of the others were FULL already when I was there, and those needs Reserve. ...
I stayed Bellea because one of the Rangers recommended it.
And it was good, a really good spot.
Surrounded by some big rocks, no crowds at all, good views, and etc...

This is what my trip was.
1. Wanted go Pioneer Town >>> search internet
2. Found that Pioneer Town is located near the Joshua Tree National Park.
3. Planed, find a camp ground first of all
4. Then, Tenting first. >>> this will remove some gears from luggage >>> reason >>> need to buy some food and water for the night
5. Visit Pioneer Town.
6. Buy foods for the night >>> at the local market (Vons) >>> buy some ice >>> it was really hot this weekend.....(over 100 at the park, dry)
7. Come back to the camping site >>> got my camping dinner(ha ha ha)
8. Play with STAR and my digital camera.
9. Sleep soundly >>> not really >>> there was little scared moments because I heard the RattleSnake's rattle sounds when I was playing with camera.....
and a ranger told me that don't go near the place if you hear the rattle sounds,
but that ranger told me that usually rattlesnake does not attack people too >>> this released my worry.
10. I had to get up earlier than I had planed (8 am) >> but 7 am >>> temp. goes up to 80-90 already I guess.... (so, this time no chilling EFFECT at night for me ... ha ha ha, but some sweat)
11. Visit "Key View" for the senery tour.
12. Back to home >>> End of The Tour....

I am really getting like desert environment after couple of camping there.
Clean environment, no crowds, clear night view, and quite.....less (almost none) bugs compared to the mountain....and most important for me, No Cold At Night, until I buy the warmer sleeping bag... ha ha ha

I was very regret that I didn't bring the tripod for the camera this weekend.
Saturday night, the moon was almost full, and moon shines desert >> it was a beauty itself.
Um, my camera's max. exposure time is 8 seconds which is little bit short for the night scenes.
Those night scene photos were little bit adjusted by me before posting to the picasa.
And the quality went very bad when size is reduced....(however, my local original big photos are little bit better than posted photos)
I'm going to look some used digital camera that has more longer timer settings, if camera has better optical zoom capacity ... best...

Belle. I knew it was either Ryan or Belle because it looked so small and those are the two smallest campgrounds. I couldn't quite tell from the backgrounds in your shots which one it was. I wasn't sure if you'd go that far into the park to stay at Belle, but if Ryan was full, that would've been my next choice if I was in your place.

I love it out there when the moon is full. The nights are magical.
