Re: thanks from the new guy

Well welcome to the nuthouse! What year is your bike? Mine is a 2001. I've done a lot of modifications to it this year. I just finished shimming the needle in my carb about an hour ago. It really wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be... I have a new (longer) exhaust pipe coming in on Thursday. That will be next weekend's project. Have you done anything to your bike other than the 16 tooth sprocket?

Re: thanks from the new guy

it's an 08 bought it last oct. with about 800miles on it,still looks
brand new, besides the 16t i just put a tankbag on the rear pad
with a d-ring pad under the rear pad ,it's a piece of leather about
a 1/16 thick and the rings match the bag pretty close. We'll have to
hook up for a ride this year sometime.

Sounds good, athough I am "chicken-shit" when it comes to driving on highways. It looks like there is about 60 miles of I-495 in between us. We would have to do back roads!

Practice, my friend. Practice in short hops on and off the highway. Start with a mile or two at a time at different traffic levels (first REAL light), then move up the distance gradually. Depending on your current skillset, learning curve and speeds, you'll be an old pro in no time.
