New GZ owner

I just bought a GZ, low miles and decent price helped me make this purchase. Now the wait for spring will be difficult. However, it gives me time to decide on some new options for her like sissy bar, saddle bags etc. :2tup:

Oh man that has to be difficult to have it sitting there and not being able to ride it for a few months. I'd go insane lol.

Like I said in another post, the first priority for extras, for me, was an engine protector. Like I already said, the first time the bike falls over you'll be glad you got it. Another guy said that the Suzuki OEM guard is next to useless. Mine is one that I picked up in our local bike shop in Tenerife, & it's stopped the tank getting messed up when the bike ran forward, off the stand, so if you get one, see if you can find any different types before you commit yourself.

This is a 2006 bike that has only 185 miles on it. It looks like new and I could not pass it by.
I can however look at it's photos.
Yes, it will drive me nuts all winter long. To make matters worse it is being stored on the other side of the state. I can't even go to the garage to visit it. However, this gives me time to clean out my garage and get a special spot ready for it.

By the time you get your hands on it, it will be 3 years old......and will probably still have some of the original 3 year old gas in it.

So BEFORE you start it up in the spring, you need to drain the float bowl and the gas tank and add a healthy dose of carb. cleaner to the fresh tank of gas.

An oil change will be in order too, unless it was done this fall.

Yes, I knew the black ones were faster. I also heard that chicks like black bikes best!
I'll keep the preseason prep in mind, great recommendation.

Finally! On Sat., 3-14-09, drove over to the west side of the state and picked up my GZ. Got it home and introduced the bike to it's new home (my garage). It didn't voice any objections so I take it the bike is as happy as me. On Sunday I took it out for a spin and we both enjoyed ourselves. :2tup:
Now, this week will be accessories week. That is where I start to put the various items onto the bike that I have been buying all winter long. Grab a chair this should be interesting. :popcorn:
