Is there a "restricter plate" on my 2001 gz?
The previous owner of the bike said I could remove a restricter plate on the intake side of the carb by taking out three bolts and the plate would pop off. Is this true and if so, where is it?

They probably meant the air box inlet. It has three bolts and restricts the air flow somewhat. The general consensus here is to leave it in place, otherwise your mixture will become even leaner.
And, welcome ! :2tup:
