Think twice, or use your brain

Watch out for gravel, it will bring you down, especially if you use your front brake, it's like ice. Think you know what is around a blink curve? Water, gravel, black snakes, good luck. Think twice before you ...

Yup, you gotta use the old noggin a bit. Going into a blind curve can be a killer for some riders. Slow down and give yourself some reaction time if things appear in front of you. Nothing like a 2 lane road with a rock wall on the right and a Greyhound bus coming towards you in the opposite lane. Oh look, gravel on road and I'm leaning into a curve at 30 over the limit.
This actually happened near here and the rider chose the rock wall.

You can brake on gravel if your front wheel is pointed straight ahead. You may slide or skid in a straight line, but you won't go down unless the wheel is turned to the side.
