Memphis Shades, Santa Cruz Windshield

Is a great shield if you want something fairly large with good protection but still streamlined.........and if you can stand a little agrivation gettting it installed. I love mine now that it's on.

Well, that was pretty easy.

Looks good man.

We never see photos of your bike. So, this is a nice surprise.

When I had my windshield, I had to deal with a good deal of helmet buffeting.

Let us know how your fuel economy changes. I set my first gas mileage record with the windshield at 71.~~
I've sent gotten up to 74 but that was a one time occurance.

Are those homemade pinstipes?

Yes, I think the stripes are not "stock" but I got them with the bike. A nice subtle touch, IMHO.

MPG last year with the small shield was ~65 but that included a lot of putzing around town. It seems to cut the wind better. Feels like the top end is slightly higher and achieved quicker. Probably more "feeling" than fact.

Lots of people use the term "helmet buffeting" but I'm never sure if they mean a physical feeling or just the sound.
Except for passing or being behind a big-rig, I can't say as I have ever felt as though the helmet was being bumped around by the wind......shield or no.

My new helmet has a space at the top of the face shield when completely closed....~ 1/8 inch.
I am unlucky enough to have the top of the face shield exactly at the edge of the air rushing over the windshield.
If I tuck down a bit, the noise disappears; if I stretch up a bit, the noise changes and is less annoying.
I was agonizing over moving the windshield until I found that gap on the FACEshield.
A piece of self-stick foam weather strip solves that problem nicely.....now to visit the hardware store and find some in black or dark grey to match the helmet. The brown stuff looks pretty cheezy.
