It seems to be over for me for now

Well boys and girls...while I'll be looking in on you from time to time, I am currently grounded from two wheels

Tuesday morning I was rudely informed that I was in the wrong lane by a much bigger van. Appearently, he owned the turn lane! And I was so arrogant as to occupy his place in line  . Bike wasn't hurt too bad and I got off with much less damage than was possible. But, after daughter saw one guy die in a crash - and them meeting me at the hospital, my riding days are over (for now). Bike sold to new rider tonight and he is a happy camper :2tup:

You are a great bunch of folks and I appreciate all that I have learned from you. Stay well, ride safe and ALWAYS watch the other guy. Stay thirsty my friends :rawk:

I'll pop in ... can't let things go by without giving someone a rash of shit
Once I get more movement in my left shoulder and the ribs heal I'll be able to wisecrack and laugh without crying (I'm such a pussy). For those who have never pulled muscle off the ribs or cracked ribs... it'll make the biggest mans eyes glaze over if you laugh, sneeze or sniff

Oh my oh my oh my. These are the kinds of posts that make me weak in the knees and my blood runs cold. Certainly glad you survived without anymore injuries than what you have already. Take your meds etc and be glad you have a caring family to rant about the dangers of bikes. Bikes are dangerous but also a wonderful addiction. Here's hoping you heal well and have no permanent after affects. Please keep in touch with updates and your future riding plans.

Hey man, sorry to hear about your crash and injuries. I hope you heal up quickly and completely. The ribs can take a long time, but they will eventually heal and the pain will go away. I'm glad to hear that you plan to stay with the forum. Keep us posted on your recovery.

Re: It seems to be over for me for now

I appreciate the extra laughter :neener:

This ain't my first rodeo with the ribs, and you're correct bb the pain will pass. Compared to your injuries I have no right to complain - you'll notice it didn't stop me though

You are great folks and I hope to be back on a bike soon. I'll have to work on the wife - something about hearing the sirens go past the house, then getting the call that they were for me...
I mention wanting another bike in a year and she gets this look on her face  :skeptical:

Just mention drugs or booze might be a good alternative to riding. Maybe a reserved chair at a local casino might work for you. She will do the math.
