Re: Hello from Charlotte, NC

In my lurking I saw the thread by gzrider01 and his hard bags. I aquired them from the same vender. The trunk was from a scooter I had a year ago. It is a removeable mount type. I painted the top black to match and created the mounting system for the bags and the trunk.

Welcome aboard! Those saddle bags and the trunk look mighty fine. That's a good looking ride you have there. If you haven't already I'd recommend you take the MSF BRC (Motorcycle Safety Foundation Basic Riders Course) as it will start you off with good habits and eliminate bad ones(if you've been riding a while) Ride safe and keep the shiney side up.

thanks. Not an ensemble though in that the trunk is from a scooter I owned. I painted it black to match and made a platform for it. It is nice in that it is removeable and leaves a black plastic flat platform when not there. Here it is before painting.

Re: Hello from Charlotte, NC

Here is the platform as I am instaling the luggage. Infact the platform is missing a finishing plate in the photo. You get the idea though.

Welcome to the forum duosport, and great looking bike! I too like the saddlebags, and good job getting creative with the "trunk." I'm not sure - did you mention what year it is? If not, I'd love to know.

Enjoy that bike and always ride safe :2tup:
