Long Beach Pier.... City Scenery

Hi there...

This ride is very city and one of the fine sceneries of the Los Angeles area.
Actually, this is the second try to take bike-video.
Yesterday, I tried different bike mounting (yes, diy) and took exactly same road.
Um, my mounting was failed, too much vibration.
I went to back original my mounting and tried again today... ha ha ha.

Anyway, here is the one of the City Sceneries of the Los Angeles area.
Let me show you another video clip; which shows Los Angeles Downtown Buildings and Real Traffic; when I finished the uploading..

Beautiful day for a ride. The camera mount seems to be at it's best again. Seems to be a little less wind noise too. Carry on, you are doing fine.

Thanks Mr. WW.

Yes, as one of the member (mr. patric??) I put some cotton and taped over it at the speaker.
That might helped some, but still wind noise.
I may have to put bigger cover; ha ha ha; I get the cotton from Q-Tips as my cam. speaker is small.

Anyway this is the clip for the Los Angeles Downtown Buildings...
Don't know why, but I like those buildings stood on the desert city here Los Angeles...

I do like the clarity your camera provides. Nice color and depth of field while on the move.

Hi, Mr. WW.
As I mentioned at the other thread.
My new camcorder has MF (Manual Focus) function; very unusual for this low budget cam.
And full Manual Exposure function ..

I think that elders might know that many of old camera does not have FOCUS ..
Those are usually set to Infinity (of best DOF; Depth of Field) by Lens Size.
So, most of plains of the film was in focousing...

Modern cameras put alot of un-necessary functions for the just family photograpers, like me...
Does not care special functions but need clear and easy to handle camera... just for me.. ha ha ha

Um, my camcorder lens is little wide which gives good DOF at the infinity settings; about 3 ft. to infinity; is set to CLEAN focusing.
>> This is my setting.. ha ha ha
>> Read that many Street Photograpers are using these settings >> so that does not worry about focusing >> fast reaction on the street.

So, do not need to calculate Hyperfocal Distance >>> some 1/3 distance focusing rule >> good for standard lens size with smaller aperture (say, f16, f22...)

Anyway, glad that you had liked it.
Thanks

Nice, Nice, Nice but at the same time the second video prompted a question. I saw the same thing in another video that I see in your second video. You are crossing/passing between the cars driving on the broken lines.

Is that allowed by Law? I do not know what is the law about this so I rarely do that and did only once or twice but I assume that it should be allowed. Why waste time and gas when we are riding a bike.

Answers appreciated.

It is here in CA, as long as you're not obnoxious about it.

And to finish the story, in most other places it is specifically NOT allowed and will get you a quick ticket if observed by a LEO.

You can sometimes get away with filtering to the front very slowly when traffic is at a complete standstill but I've heard stories about tickets even in that situation.
