Might be up in your area today, Busy

I might have to ride up to West Hollywood. :skull: There are several different ways I could go, but I'm leaning toward just taking the 405 up to Santa Monica Blvd and taking it on up to where I'm going. I'm not crazy about that route, but I don't like the 101 and the surface traffic through Hollywood, so I don't want to approach from the east, and I don't want to go up La Cienega/Fairfax. La Cienega's not bad, but once it forks off into Fairfax, there are a lot of lights, although I haven't ridden up there on my bike. You ride around up there. How is it on a bike? I could take I-10 to LaCienega/Fairfax, but going north on Fairfax seems to take forever in a car. Going up SMB might be faster, I don't know. I'll have to ride through Westwood and Beverly Hills and stuff, but that's the way it goes.

Re: Might be up in your area today, Busy

Hello, Mr. Moedad.
I usually work at home ( Tele-commuting ) at Friday.
Even if my work place is just few miles from home... ha ha ha
And if I knew this earlier, I could met you and have some ride with you.
By the way, what brings you be here LA today?
Today, there are some big road block at the Hollywood areas.
Almanian's some genocide?? demonstration ??? against Turkey ???

Anyway, I made packing all for the first bike-camping....
I'm going to leave at dawn tomorrow morning, Saturday.
Very excited, and hope no chilly night for me, ha ha ha.
A ha, I bought bigger Stakes at the Target yesterday night.
Those are plastic and cheap one (only available from store), but looks stronger than the one with tents.
Wonder if there are some left over camping sites available without reservation at this weekend???

I was checking out some Cortech saddlebags that I found on Craigslist. I already had the sport saddlebags just like yours, but I've been watching for a pair of the larger tri-bag saddlebags to show up on Craigslist and last week I found some in West Hollywood. They were in good condition, with only some minor wear on the heat shields on the bottom. The person I bought them from only used them one time, so I guess they were rubbing on something a little.

How did those plastic stakes work out for you? If the ground is too dry and hard, they will break after a few uses.
