Replaced the valve seals on the GZ with some pics

Hi people, finally got around to replacing the valve seals on my wife's GZ. I had been having some issues with a ploom of blue smoke after a cold start up of the bike. The longer the bike sat between runnings, the worse the smoke was. As a generall rule of thumb, when you have some initial smoking but it stops after a short period, and does not continually smoke that's usually bad valve seals. When you have smoking under acceleration all the time , that's usually bad piston rings . So I did a top end teardown and inspection, and the piston didn't look overly caked up with carbon. So upon further dissasembly of the cyl head I now started to see some excessive carbon built up on the valves. A close inspection of the valve seals also IMO they looked dry and hard. Suzuki must have also seen an issue with the valve seals as the new superseded p/n ones I ordered were a totally different material and a slightly different design. So assemble was pretty straight foreward with the help of the online service manual (THANK YOU GZ250BIKE.COM !) . I made a few minor assembly mistakes that are not spelled out in the manual, but in the end she's all back together, and running awesome !

The green seal in this pic is the updated seal. The OEM seal was a black rubber seal. The updated green seal also has a small wire ring at the top that applies pressure around the valve stem boss.

All done, and the wife getting some seat time practice !
