These don't exist right?
A VZ800 is the smallest one right?

The V.Z. 800 & G.Z. 250 were both listed as Marauder.The "V" meaning V- Twin.In 2005 the name was changed to the M-50.The "M" meaning Marauder.

Cheers blaine

So hypothetically speaking, if an insurance company gave someone a policy that stated the driver was driving a "VZ 250 marauder" but they were actually driving a GZ 250 - they wouldn't be covered would they?

I would think you would be fine as long as the serial numbers on policy and bike matched.

Re: VZ 250?

I'm sure the VIN would be the determining factor as suggested but it might be a good idea to get the oops corrected.

I agree, you want to make sure everything is correct on any contract or insurance policy, or it is bound to come back and haunt you later.

Re: VZ 250?

This is slightly off topic but had a potentially bad situation occur many years ago. Changed insurance companies and an idiot or two made a bad mistake. Insured 2 cars. A $300 car with full coverage and a new car with minimun coverage. Just imagine if I had smashed up my new car and totaled it. No insurance pay-out and deep in debt with no new car. I changed insurance companies again. The idiot company made another mistake to my benefit when I cancelled. They refunded all my premiums from day one. Scary.

If it's the same in Ireland as it is in England (and I'm pretty sure it is), the VIN doesn't come into the equation. All the insurance company uses is the registration details (licence plate details)

Here in Canada they use V.I.N,(It's on the registration) as the vehicle must be insured before getting a plate.

Re: VZ 250?

The VZ 250 Marauder is an older Non-US version of the the GZ, but is virtually an identical bike. VZ 250 Marauder

There is a 250 LC Intruder. It's a 250 cc V-Twin and it's not available in the US.

Here are pictures and specs: 250 LC Intruder Much different than the GeeZer.
