New Heated Gear Test

I have been wanted to try out my heated jacket and gloves, but it has been too wet out.
That all changed today with a clear sky and 34 degrees out.
A few photos of my little 90 mile test.

Warm and toasty with just a long sleeve t-shirt, heated jacket and a light mesh jacket with the factory rain liner.
Gloves worked perfect also.
This is all Cycle Gear HotWired brand.

Ah yes........heated gear. Glad to hear you got out for a ride. We used Tour Master heated gear and found it was just ducky. Heated pants, insoles and a heated jacket liner with fully heated sleeves and heated collar. Really good stuff. Everything operated off one controller which was nice.

My gloves have their own controller built in, so direct connect.
Everything worked great.

That would be very nice. Neither of us had heated gloves but we were still toasty. Heated grips were great as long as the wind didn't directly hit our hands. I made some lower extensions for my handguards and blocked the wind that would chill my finger tips. Lynda's monster windshield seemed to work very well for her hands.

Haven't thought of buying myself heated gear, but being on the bike yesterday while it was 2 degrees celsius outside and dropping... after 30 minutes of riding I was boosting my revmatism bonus big time. How it is coping with your electricity JWR, everything ok? I'm thinking of not winterizing my bike and just go for a ride at least once per week, but i need some better, warmer gear... Gonna do some check ups...

I have had no problem on electrical output.
The jacket has 4 settings and I run on #2. The gloves have 3 setting and again #2 works fine.

For the test yesterday, I had a long sleeve t, heated liner, a cheap mesh jacket with a rain liner.
I have an old Joe Rocket jacket that has never failed to keep me warm and dry, but I was trying to stay warm without layers.
I have no doubt the gear will do everything that I will encounter.

I am getting things ready for our trip to Daytona Bike Week in March.
The mountains where I live can get some strange weather that time of year.

Since I ride year round I thought it might be nice to know the "Windchill" I was facing..

One morning last week it was 28 degrees, 55mph for 6 miles... windchill = -10 f

Glad I wear a full coverage helmet. Heated clothing might not be a bad choice too

Eight of us took a end of the year ride today.
There were 5 Suzuki's, one Bonneville, one Ducati and a Kawasaki.

You may have to start taking a company car home when it is that chilly.
Heated gear on a GZ may not work out too well. You do need that Older Wing with more wattage and wind protection.
