Almost there....

New shocks, handlebars, grips, lots of polishing, just about to where I'm happy with the results. Still need to do something with the header rust and polish the aluminum side covers on the engine and the brake line is due to be replaced, going to get a stainless line about 4 inches longer than stock so that I can lay the bars back a bit more to the rear without pulling on the brake line at all.

No, they are these:

they're a bit taller and have a bit more sweepback than the stock bars.

Re: Almost there....

Next question, because I have thought seriously about those exact styled handlebars, is the reason why they are pushed so far forward because your lines aren't long enough, or because you like them like that.

A little bit of both, acutally. I'm only planning on pulling them back a few inches when I replace the lines, just enough to level out the grips. They were a bit different from what I was expecting, I didn't like them at first, but have really found them to be more comfortable, for me, at least.

Re: Almost there....

adrianinflorida, Your bike is looking good! Try Flitz polish for the headers and other chrome.
