Bar risers

Got some new tall Outlaw bar risers yesterday. Looking forward to putting them on. I'll post before and after photos once they are on. Should look slick.

Ok. What should have been a fast 15 minute job turned out to be an extended exercise in minor frustrations.

First the bolts that came with the risers that go through into the top of the tree were just a fraction of a hair too thick to go through the hole. Then once I got new bolts from the store that DO fit through, I found that the threads weren't the same and the old lock luts wouldn't thread on the the new bolts. Then when I had everything correct sized and thread............. it started to rain while I was putting it together again.

So, hours later it's all together but I was frustrated and didn't even bother taking photos.

They look awesome. You'll just have to trust me on this.

And you thought you had all your ducks lined up correctly. Surprise! The simplest jobs on a bike can be the most frustrating. Been there done that many times and it still annoys the daylights out of me. I doubt I have ever made a change of any kind that didn't lead to an adventure of some sort.

Finally was able to get a photo of them installed without it raining on my parade here in Portland Or.

I love them, and they are the perfect addition for a tall guy. Raising up the controls while keeping the bars I like was exactly what I was looking for.
