single seater
The 250 is now a single seater. I removed the pillion seat and mounted a Kappa 29L hard case. I used a piece of 1/8 flat steel( 12x7 inches). The rear 1 inch is bent down at 20 degrees to almost match the fender curve. Should have been about 15 degrees to match up better but is a nice fit regardless. Painted the plate a flat black and mounted the Kappa mounting plate to it. I also drilled 2 sets of holes to allow for back and forth movement as required for proper fit for rider comfort. The case is the typical flat black finish and will be getting some black 3M reflective tape on the sides and across the back. This stuff is very bright after dark when lights hit it. Oh, almost forgot, I used the bracket from the pillion seat to secure the front of the mounting plate and it works well and is solid.

Don't know about Kappa distributors in the U.S. of A. Givi is a popular brand and well made but can be pricey. Take a look at JC Whitney for a reasonably priced hard case. They have proven to be popular and economical with some riders. Not bad appearance wise and decent quality for the $. They have 2 cases listed. The smaller of the 2 is slightly larger in size than Happyhobo's 28 L(said 29 L before but I had a brain malfunction). Just checked and my HJC full face helmet and it will fit the Kappa 28 L for safe keeping. Hope this gives you a lead on a case.
