Parting Out 1999 GZ 250
I have decided to part out my 1999 GZ 250 with 16400 miles on it. I have owned it for almost 6 years now. Since I got my new bike about three years ago it hasn't been ridden very much and has spent most of its time collecting dust in my garage. It is in fair condition and does need some work which is why I have decided to part it out, it would cost more to fix than the bike is worth but still has a lot of good parts. This bike still runs and is rideable but needs engine work. I am still researching fair prices for various parts so let me know what parts your interested in.
Problems and missing/broken parts

Ah!!! If you were only closer.
On a side note I went to college in Daytona beach. Fun town, at least for a few months of the year. |

How much are you looking to get for the gas tank? What kind of condition is it in? I'm from Pennsylvania so if possible we would also have to work out the shipping.

The Gas tank is in good condition. The top of the tank has a lot of small scratches that can bee seen up close but not from a distance. I would offer $85 for the tank and $30 for shipping for a total of $115.

Hi! I could use the front reflectors (looks like you may only have one) and the bracket. Mine are totally gone. Also the left foot peg if it's in good shape.

@ way
The engine runs pretty rough and I am not sure of the condition of the cylinder jug and head. Assuming everything is in good condition I would offer $130 + shipping for both the cylinder jug and the head. When I received the saddle bags as a gift I was a poor college student (and still am) and could not afford to buy the supports. As an engineering student I decided to just make my own so the support is actually a cheap metal bracket I bought at Lowe's but has worked for many years. For the saddle bags and my homemade support ( included for free) I would ask $50 + shipping. I could combine the shipping for $30. @ JohnC Yes you are correct I am missing one of the reflectors. I am assuming you mean the rider foot peg and not the passenger foot peg. It is in good shape, it does have some rubber scraped off the bottom. For the foot peg and I would ask $10 + $5 shipping and I would throw in the front reflector and its bracket for free. @ imoon1221 The fenders are in good condition both have some lite scuffs and scratches. I would ask $50 +$25 shipping for both font and back fenders. The muffler is in fair condition. The exhaust pipes have a a lot of rust on them. The muffler has a good amount of surface rust on the top and a burn mark from where the bottom of my wife's shoe melted to it. Also the back has three extra holes that one of the P.O.'s drilled into it presumably to add performance to the GZ. I would ask $55 for the muffler + $40 for shipping.

Re: Parting Out 1999 GZ 250
Do you know if the valves are making noise or do you think it's running rough because of the gasket leak? I guess I just need to know if it's a metallic kind of rapping noise or not. Was the oil level okay?
Saddlebags in good shape, no holes? Thanks, don't mean to ask so many questions. :hide:
