Paint Code Question?

I'm getting around to detailing my newly acquired GZ, thanks to a wonderful couple in my church who gifted it to me. Anyways it needs touched up a few places. Any help ID the color would be great. Here is what I know. The tank is a kind of evergreen green color. I suppose the fenders would be the same. I went to a motorcycle shop and they couldn't find the right color for me. What indicates the color code of these bikes, and would the fender be consistent with the tank? It is a 2000. Thanks, I don't know anything about this kind of stuff.

Colorite http://www.colorrite.com/index.cfm?killnav=1 makes all the OEM paints. You have

Y98 Candy Forest Green #4545 top coat, and #1545 base coat.

Be ready, the paint is pricey ! I know I restored 2 multicolored sport bikes using OEM Colorite paints. VERY happy with the color match !

Great info, I am not looking to repaint the bike, it is in remarkable condition. Just a few touch ups here and there. Thanks again.

Re: Paint Code Question?

That is probably the most impressive color on a GZ.

My wife's GZ is the same color. At first I didn't like the green (looking at the internet pics, but once we saw the bike in the bright sun, and also the fact the green is mixed with some other tastefull colors such as the silver and black graphics I do like the color now. Oddly, when the bike is indoors under inconsistant light, then bike actually has a bluish hue to it...

If you are , you better jump and get the tank decals ordered while they are still available. Suzuki (and all the other manufacturers) are required by federal law to make available parts for 10 years. After that they start discontinuing parts, and I can tell you from experience, decals, and color correct bodywork are the first items to get discontinued.

Here's a great place to get Suzuki parts online. They also frequently update discontinued parts. So if they show it as available, the chances are high that the part is still in fact available
