One Piece Seat

I've seen on Ebay before a aftermarket seat for the Geezer that is one solid seat; like a sportster. However I'm finally ready to buy it and can't locate it. If anyone can help me find this seat, I would be most grateful.

Someone needs to start a GZ250 Aftermarket company... They'd make a killing.

Re: One Piece Seat

Yes, you do loose storage under the seat. i need the rear portion of the seat is not for passengers but for holding saddle bags in place.

bares a resemblance to this one.

And its all part of my master plan for this bike.

Re: One Piece Seat

I have been contemplating making a custom seat for mine that is a one piece using the same seat pans and just joining them with a piece of steel and recovering both. and instead of using the setup that is there now for the bolt down area use either a smaller bolt that can drop through the bottom or drill the hole out and use a carriage bolt built into the seat and a bolt on the bottom.how ever I had an idea of getting a secondary lock mechanism from the front seat and retrofitting a joint in the back as well with the same snap in and lock method so that you didn't lose the access to storage or in my case the easiest method of air filter removal for cleaning, as I have a created a new air filter assembly for my bike to let it breath as easy as it wants. the alternative idea was to use a bike quick release bolt for the front tires and a slotted seat. Maybe these Ideas can help you as I haven't gotten to the actual fabrication part yet.

Re: One Piece Seat

As far as custom seats go, this is as good as it gets on the GZ.

Harley Cop bike seat - viewtopic.php?f=8&t=4646

Everything else has just been padding or custom shaving.

I've never seen a complete, one-piece seat.
Sarris went so far as to buy a Corbin seat that was said to fit the GZ, but it wasn't true.
BadBob had a seat custom made by Sargent Cycles. That's an option, but it's only available upon request. There is nothing kept in stock.

Re: One Piece Seat

Then why not just use the factory seat and pillion seat and recover them under one piece of vinyl?

Use a sheet metal mating plate along the bottom so they hold their shape.
Then recover both using one piece of your favorite material, giving the illusion of a one piece seat?
