Odd issue, also it won't start
So I had a somewhat minor leak from my headers, but rode it anyway assuming it would not harm anything. I go to leave work, bike starts with ease, I give it gas, and I see (not flames) sparks coming out of the right head. I rode down the street and pulled over right after, the engine felt fine, I did not hear any knocking, and still don't. I can turn over the engine, seems like it wants to start, even fires, but absolutely will not keep running without the starter assisting. I knew the lifters needed adjustment, could it be they are that bad or did I really fuck something up?

Upon taking off the top end of the engine I realized those sparks were not actually coming from the header but rather from the head gasket. My head gasket being made of metal and blowing out was what caused the sparks.

We all live and learn. Some forums don't really do polite chatting whereas the GZ forum is one of the best for good clean English. Very refreshing in this day and age. We do have some Lady members who may not appreciate bad language.
Now back to your regular programmed forum. |
