Question Saving a gz250 petcock

I have a 2000 gz250 and petcock seems to be falling apart. Had some issues with the air leak, rebuild it and the problem disappeared. Now, after sitting in the garage the whole winter, I drained all of the old fuel from the tank but the angle fuel pipe fell off of the petcock. Yes, not the hose, but the metal 0 degrees angle pipe.

Simple question: could that be repaired by replacing(?) the o-ring (if there was one at all) or is it lost for good?

It sounds as though the 90 degree hose bib that the fuel hose attaches to broke off. I don't believe that can be repaired if I am understanding you correctly. I have a used one that needs a repair kit but it is for a 2009 GZ. I don't believe they are compatible. Sorry. You should be able to find a used one on Ebay for about $30.

Vegas, thanks. It was about the time, even after rebuilding it there was occasional sputtering on open throttle, most likely coming from the same glitch.
