Motorcycle Races 400 mile week-end

Took a little trip to Road Atlanta this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Some of the crew have been going to this race since 1984, and invited me along this year.
All of the roads were two lane except about 25 miles. Some good riding is East Tn and North Ga.

A few shots.
These bikes were doing about 180mph right before this turn.

Bikes at hotel.

Those concrete barriers look very unforgiving.

yes they do, thought they were supposed to have a wall of tires or something like that in front of concrete walls at motorcycle races.

Re: Motorcycle Races 400 mile week-end

You could buy a guided tour of the track, BUT, it was too slow for me.

I had to leave before the last race...per the gps, it took 3hours and 32 minutes to get home from the track, 182 miles, one stop, a little over 50mph average.

The little XV never had to down shift, going or coming, the whole trip.
