Keep in mind that you will need to spend some $ on the bike. The tires and tubes are old but may look really good. Rubber gets hard and slippery with age. Big danger factor to you even in the best of riding conditions. Tires are cheaper than health care. As it is the bike will need some TLC to make it even better than it looks. Change the brake fluid, oil, oil filter, likely the air filter too. Lube anything that moves or is supposed to move. Contact cleaner for the switches too. The bike is suffering from lack of use and a little care and attention is needed to make things right. The time you spend tinkering will familiarize you with the bike and that in itself is good. |

Many of what you mentioned has been done. The gent I bought it from, bought it from the original owner last year, with only 700 miles on it. So, he did many of the replacements you mentioned and then put on 1200 miles last riding season. Login or Register to Remove Ads |
