Yeah, the young ones can learn from our mistakes because they will never live long enough to make them all by themselves.

That is gonna be one nice looking bike. Who is this pop and does anyone have any tips for painting the tank and other various parts. I did an amateur job on my bike last year but I'd like to do something a little more professional this year.

Pop is my dad and thanks goose for the kind words. Well like one guy said on here its deff all about the prep work and experience. My dad has been painting cars since I was 4 so maybe like 25yrs now. This was his first time job on motor cycle parts and it came out great. You could also invest in a cheap hvlp spray gun set and they run on low psi also you want no water in the air lines at all.

After 25 years I would call that a professional grade paint job. There is no substitute for experience.

I love the site how it changes up a lot. Anyways its been almost a month with no serious progress just the front forks installed with bearings repacked and that's it. tomorrow I will order almost all the parts to finish her up. I plan on going with the Michelin commander 2 tires front and back any info or input on these tires would be nice. I would love to put a 150 rear with the stock tale. I measured the inside diameter of the tail support and it would have to be hacked up pretty good amount to clear the 150. but I may just go with the 140 rear 130 front =(

I just want to see the finished product. I'll be patient though. It is going to be something spectacular.
