We have freeways AND interstates here in Southern California. The interstates (I-5, I-15, I-10, I-40, & I-8 are all freeways, but all the freeways (55, 57, 405, 605, 91, 22, 60, 105, 210, 134, 14, 710, 110, & 805) aren't interstates. We even have a few tollroads now. Then there's Central and Northern California. Only I-5 runs the length of California. I probably forgot some freeways in the San Diego area.

Freeways/Interstates/Highways...they're all the same thing. Big fast slabs with cages hurtling down them at high speed with no regard for motorcycles.

Re: How cold IS it?

I usually have the 'Liner for freeway duty. I do have to go on the freeway to take the GZ in an out of the current shop I've been patronizing, but i can take it locally if need be. See other thread for some not so good news on the 'Liner.

Oops, kinda forgot about that. So, if your normal ride to work is non-freeway miles, then sure, it would be worth a shot. Just keep the old one incase you (or the next owner) wants to go back.
Sprocket= ~$20. Shop labor= 1/2 hour ~ $50; total ~$70 unless you do it yourself......which is not much more complicated than adjusting the slack in the chain.

Yea, sorry to hear about the dump. Now the 'Liner has "character"!
