Re: I bought a new bike!

I'm not certain - you may have missed a few Sarris, but I'll never tell! :neener:

And thanks for the clarification mrlmd1. As far as what I "define" a redneck as, I don't. I do know that there have been multiple times I have answered 'yes' to those "If you _____ , then you might be a redneck" questions/jokes, so I might just be one! Ha ha!

This is in action all the time the police vehicles are rollong, & if the cameras pick up a number plate which shows no insurance, it sounds an alarm. It also sounds the alarm for a vehicle which hasn't paid the annual "tax". The police then stop & sieze the vehicle, which is towed to the pound. The owner must then produce insurance/proof of tax payment, plus pay a fine & also pay for the towing plus the daily pound charges. If this is not done within 14 days, the vehicle is crushed.

If you are unlucky enough to be injured by an uninsured driver, all the insurance companies are required to pay into a central fund, so that if the driver is uninsured, this fund pays out.
Hopefully the fine is a good one and costs dearly. Like the crushing idea, probably gets a lot of beaters off the road and makes life safer. Some folks may not like this attitude but I pay a lot to use my vehicles and it is a privilege not a right to use public roads.

There have been a few rulings in courts here that the gov'ts (local up thru Feds) seem to ignore where the court has ruled in favor of the fact that if you pay taxes which build and maintain the roads then you have the RIGHT to use said roads and can not be stopped from exercising that right. But, like I said, gov't has ignored that fact. I used to have a list of links to some of those cases but lost it in a past computer crash.

True you do have the Right to use the roads but first you have to pay your dues. Proper insurance, endorsement and legally registered vehicle are the dues.

Sorry if I offended you. Didn't mean to. I thought we were all adults on here, and I just did it for a bit of fun. :poorbaby:

Well, I don't KNOW that we are all adults and neither do you.

I think it is in extremely bad taste.......but apparently the mod's don't.....or they are both asleep because it is still there.

I would certanly hate to think that we might lose some users because of stuff like that.
