I was off the net for quite some time. But I did learn something about not being connected. It seems no one except one close friend went to the trouble of checking up on me. He sent me an actual letter. Even my landlord couldn't get a reply from me about a rent increase but didn't think to try a letter. That is very disappointing after over 12 years of communications without fail. To make things worse I had complaints about smoking. Wish I'd known about them because it would have confirmed my suspicions about an intruder who was coming in while I wasn't home. Only one item actually went missing but stuff would disappear and appear again at random. I thought I was getting old guy syndrome and let it be. I finally clued in when 2 hats that I thought I had misplaced or lost appeared on the floor where I couldn't miss them. I am sure it is another person in the building who has watched my habits of coming and going. New locks etc seems to have been the cure so far but I still have a bike and truck for them to mess with in the underground parking. Whoever this pinhead is had better get a life and do something constructive rather than destructive to my quality of life and security. Even my landlord had no comment on new locks and an intruder making a multitude of entries. I really feel like I was thrown under the bus by everyone involved. If my suspicions are correct I will be getting another rent increase early next year which means I will likely leave this wonderful location and move elsewhere in the province. The bright side is my health is better than it has been in a couple decades. The Doc says it is my genetics. I haven't even had a cold in 15 years. Pretty good for 72 years young. Now on with the game guys. Last edited by Water Warrior 2; 10-30-2017 at 03:11 AM. |

Ever think of putting a small camera in your apartment that is liked to your smartphone? Not expensive and it would be great to catch someone in the act.

Great suggestion if I had a smart phone. I am not that great with modern technology and still have an older cell that is one step above a rotary dial phone. It still works and I will continue to use it until I am forced to buy a new simple cell when the old one needs a new and unobtainable battery. Stone age tech works for me in most cases.
