Re: Im new to the board and to riding.
Bigger is not always better. As much as I like my Vstrom 650 there are days when the whole thing could be 10 % smaller in every way and still be a hoot. 10 % doesn't sound like a lot until you measure seat height and the weight factor of the bike. That 10 % reduction looks pretty good to an old guy.

I do like my husbands Suzuki Savage its not much heavier then my GZ. But im sticking with my GZ I love it. Its just right for me and I think it would make a great starter bike for everyone.

Welcome to the forum from South Carolina. You didn't mention it so I will. I'd recommend you take the MSF BRC (Motorcycle Safety Foundation Basic Rider Course). It will help you prevent bad habits and help you get rid of any you already have. Ride safe.

Joni35~
Welcome! I thought about the Savage or Boulevard S40 as it is called now. Just didn't like how the Speedometer is mounted in the Tank and not really in my field of vision. It does look really nice in the Pearl White. http://imageshack.us/m/221/9880/lg2006s ... vards4.jpg  |
