Re: Exhausted with Exhaust issue.

I thought I saw one in Florida once too, but it wasn't more than 10' tall after riding about a 1/4 mile to get to the top of it.
Not like up in the Northeast.

Re: Exhausted with Exhaust issue.

Coming from the Canadian Prairies I can relate to a flatlanders awe at seeing real mountains and impressive hills. The Pacific Northwest on both sides of the border is a rider's paradise. Going up to Alaska and the Yukon will just plan cause minor brain damage with it's beauty. Road through Tenn and North Carolina on a rented bike, absolutely beautiful scenery and great roads. Want a different Reality, go to NewFoundLand. It's like being on a different planet with roads and moose.

I do like the 2x4 idea, I do have to say that over all am nervous about stability with it on the lift. I am so used to 4 wheel vehicles OR 2 wheel that can be parked on it's handle bars while you take the pedals off...

Anyway thank you for the input and hopefully what you all said will help. I think it will. Because of how dense I can be can you do the little velcro trick and take a pic of it so I know 100% what you all meant.
I bought the same jack when I had my GZ and, like you, discovered the exhaust pipe runs under the frame. I kept the jack because I knew what my next bike was going to be and it works great with my V-Star 650 Classic.

Long Island, NY, where I hail from, is one long flat island. I never saw mountains until I went upstate in my late 20's. I'm looking forward to riding the Tail of the Dragon this summer with it's 318 curves in 11 miles. It's located on the border of NC and TN and is in the mountains (as I understand).

Be sure to check out the vids from Youtube.

Re: Exhausted with Exhaust issue.

I rode the Dragon in 2007 with some riders from Stromtroopers.Com. Had a rented KLR 650 which kept me honest on the stock dual purpose tires. You will enjoy the ride but don't be in a hurry or it may bite you.

I spent 57 years on Long Island and moved to Longs, SC 2 1/2 years ago. Love it down here but it gets so darn hot in the summer but you can ride all 12 months. I do think the island is a wonderful place to grow up and live. It just got too d*mn expensive.

Re: Exhausted with Exhaust issue.

RR -Where in Queens are you? I used to live in Flushing as a kid. PS 168, Parsons Junior High, Forest Hills HS. Great memories. Then we moved across the border to Nassau county in Lake Success, Great neck. And mole2, where on Long Island (home of the longest parking lot in the world) were you?
