I don't think gas is THAT much more expensive in Canada. At the present $2.75 per gallon, a full 3 Gal. would be......$8.25, in the US. I know there is a currency difference but $13 sounds like a lot even with that.

Gas prices here will cause your heart to beat faster sometimes. 1 U.S. gallon is 3.785 liters. 3 gals is 11.355 liters at only $1.079 per liter here in Squamish. And that is cheap compared to some locations.

€1.29 per litre here (i don't get gallons) - costs me about €14/15 to fill the tank and i never let it run into reserve - still, i'm getting much more out of a tank thanks to the warm weather and finally using the choke properly

The Europeans do get some things right. Gas prices have been high there for a LONG time.....due to consumption taxes....that tends to reduce consumption and encourages the use of things like TRAINS for inter-city travel.

I remember passenger trains; alas, that's one of the things that "we" did wrong......in letting them die out in favor of much less efficient cars and trucks to transport people and goods.
