My first Sportster was that way. I damn near killed myself test riding a new Kawi Mach III 500. Circa 1973.

Not only is it starter free I don't see a battery to power a starter motor.

this is the first forum i have ever been on that criticized a bike for having a kick starter. i can tell i'm not on the chopper underground.
