Depends. I have mechanical experience. My father and I have been restoring a '71 Volkswagen beetle for the last 4 years. So I feel I should be able to do the work. The only problem is finding the time for some of the bigger jobs it might need. I have just been awarded a grant to do research and get my Masters at University of Western Ontario, so life will be rather hectic from September onwards.

Well, apart from all the other good features of the bike you chose, there isn't any routine maintenance item that's very time consuming. And you can download a service manual right on this site!
