Good to see a fellow Michigander on the forum; I think there might be one other one who checks in from time to time. I, too, am pretty new to the gz world and having a blast. Got a new windshield and have been out the last three days for long rides, effing endlessly with various set ups. BTW, it's the blue gz's that are the babe magnets, but your black one looks nice, too. :whistle:

Hey everybody! Well I spent the evening putting on my engine guard and front fender guard. It went ok, looks nice. Next up will be the sissy bar, might not be until later this week. I'm looking for saddlebag supports and probably will put them on at the same time I install the sissy bar. I'm going to need a lot of patience for that job.

That last job is pretty easy, but make it easier to reach the bolts inside the fender by raising up the setting on the rear shocks to get more clearance above the tire so you can get your fingers and a wrench in there. When you put the accessories on, take the bolts out and put them back in one at a time to help align everything up, rather than taking them all out at once and then trying to put it all back together.

OK, what's a "front fender guard"? That's a new one on me.

It is wise to do both the back pieces at the same time......because they both use the same bolts. I did mine twice (duh) without realizing the obvious that it would be easier with the back jacked up via the springs or having the back wheel off the ground (double duh). I have small hands and it still was tricky.

I'm guessing chrome fender trim for the leading and/or trailing edge of the fender.

The front fender guard looks like this on Raven(bikes new name), they have been around for awhile. A fun add on item ...
I'm back to eBay looking for bag supports. Putting both items on at the same time makes good sense.

I saw Easy's windshield and found it to be interesting. I also like the Memphis Shades Roadmaster windshield and wonder if it will fit onto Raven. What do you think Easy? It's similar to yours.
