No hills in cajunland! lol...I am a heavy individual and will only be riding single. SO, I think I'm ok with the bike as is? :??:

Of course it's OK.....as long as you're happy with it.
If you get the feeling that it is rev'ing higher than it needs to be in each gear, then consider the 16.
Otherwise, just RIDE !!!

Somehow I get a feeling that you aren't a very aggressive rider so you might not even notice much difference.

As a new rider, you probably shouldn't concern yourself with any mods like a sprocket change anyway. Wait until you have a better feel for what you want/need, then make the decision. The only advantage I'd like from the 16T sprocket would be the extra speed in 1st (shifting in the middle of a turn from a stop really sucks!). Otherwise, I'm 250 lbs and live in WV, so my weight coupled with the hills here are probably a bad combination with a 16T sprocket.

Just add gas and oil to the bike. The miles and smiles will add up on their own. If you haven't yet, may I suggest rider training to add to your to do list.
Ask anything that comes to mind, there is no such thing as a stupid question here.
