I think I would keep looking. Maybe the market is a lot firmer in AZ but most of the GZ 's I see here with less than 10,000 miles have been selling for well under $2k. I have not seen anything newer than 2007 but even those have relatively low mileage and the sellers are asking some where around $1700. I did find a Honda rebel here that was a 1998 and had 12000 miles on it . It had a ripped seat, dry rotted tires, lots of rust outside and lots of dents in the tank and the inside of the tank was treated with some sealer not even POR. It was a mess and they wanted $2499. That same bike has been on CL for months. It appears that it must be on the marker to please SWMBO.

Here is the only one available here at this time.... Note he states the price is negotiable and this is great riding weather. http://lafayette.craigslist.org/mcy/2844677692.html

Re: GZ250 Price advice

Hello Sir my first bike I purchased from a dealer, one insurance that i wish i had was called GAP...the way gap works is if you wreck bike or it gets stolen Gap will pay the balance. The worst thing is having to pay for a bike that is crashed or stolen . I had to pay almost 10,000 for my bike...and it was stolen...Well as far as prices go. I just bought mine off of craigslist, i was a little skeptical about craigslist but aslong as you can talk to the person over the phone and they have pinkslip with their name and ID to match that. You shouldnt have issues Also you can run vin # with your local police. I took all of these steps and came out with a 2009 Gz250 with 4000 miles for 1900 The transfer fee was like 130 because i'm in california i'm pretty sure its more expensive here.

Re: GZ250 Price advice

Does the transfer fee include tax, title and registration or is that extra? My registration cost me $163 but that included 9% sales tax. The vehicle inspection was another $12.
