So, no, it shouldn't be a problem unless the "post" comes to a point or sharp edge........or maybe you leave it parked there for MONTHS. P.S. Except for parking it on the sissy-bar backrest occasionally, I prefer to hang mine by the strap. I think it ventilates better that way......but you gotta check for collected "foreign matter" before putting it on again.
