jonathan,

Im not tryto race Lambros guy, Im just trying to create a show bike that uses every bit of HP it can grab from hard work, and tooling around.
I will be buying an 800cc M50 in a few months, but I still love the usability of this small city bike. I also like the fact that customizing it, with such an underdog aftermarket can be so much fun as well.

Just ask Nate on this board.
I dont need a 750 to whip you in city traffic. I also dont really care about 750's, as this is a GZ250BIKE.COM site.
A K&N filter, and rejet was already done, and makes a tremendous difference in feel and sound of the bike from stock. Im sure many will tell you that.
I would just love to hear and feel any (if even slight) improvement I could get with this setup designed just for the little GZ. Im pretty sure its going to be a little bit meaner sounding, and have better flow.

In any case :neener:

Just currious, .. which K&N Pod filter are you talking about? Whats the size of it?

Well, I wasn't speaking to you directly. I was simply trying to state that after being around 250s for a while and making some "mistakes" as far as overestimating the ability of aftermarket parts and the potential of the engines, I've learned to lay off, for the most part, on making significant changes.

Yes, you can improve certain aspects of flow and probably even increase HP, some. However, spending a thousand dollars on a $3,000 bike for an extra 10 Hp just doesn't make much sense.

It's pretty obvious that you and I have differing opinions of what this type of bike should be used for. That being said, if you have the money to burn then feel free to make tons of modifications and produce a show bike or whatever you want to use it for. I just think that in the end, if you are jumping ahead of yourself, you're just setting yourself up for disappointment.

The K&N RU-1822 and Chrome version (RC-1822) arent to my knowledge "pod" filters.
They are universal filters, and Im not sure that this would be the best fit for this bike. As well, the shape of the filter itself seems as though it might not fit properly without mounting it.

Are you using this filter?

I would think that either a can shaped, or cone shaped filter might be a better fit.
As well, does anyone know the exact mm of the Mikuni carb?

And wait a sec, the 1822 comes with 2 filters if Im not mistaken. I only need 1.

1822 is a set of 2 pod filters.
I think you're thinking that I was talking about the GZ. My post above is in regards to the 250 Ninja.
RU-1822 is what I ran on that bike.

A universal K&N pod will fit. All someone needs to do is measure the diameter of the carb inlet of the Gz. That someone jus hasn't been me, yet.

Yo Jordan, Did I see it correctly that this system has a single header? I know stateside the GZ gets the twin dome exhaust chambers with two outlets but the marauder has the single exhaust port, europe etc. Or does the 350 kit come with a new cylinder that has a single exhaust chamber?

Still awaiting a reply on this one, but Im leaning for now on just an aftermarket pipe like yours.
When I find out more, and have a bit more funds after the big bore kit, Ill re-consider.

If its a single, which it does not say, Ill be very dissapointed.
