Bike wont start

My '06 wont start for me. It died while i was riding it and wont restart, it cranks like its trying to turn over but cant quite get there

Without more information from you, we can only guess.

What have you checked? The obvious is do you have fuel, spark, etc.? Were you moving when it died or was it at idle while stopped? Did you check to see if the fuel hose and the vacuum hose attached to the fuel petcock were still attached?

You say it cranks like it's trying to turn over. If it is cranking, it is turning over. Please let us know so we can help you figure it out.

Did you try moving the petcock to the "prime" position?

Open the carb intake and give it a little shot of starting fluid. If it runs for a couple seconds, you know it's a fuel delivery issue, if it doesn't, the suspicion goes to electrical / ignition. Don't overdo starting fluid, and have a fire extinguisher handy.
