HI! New to Forum:'99 gz250 conversion qeustions

I all CP in Atlanta here. I'm new to the forum so please point me in the right direction if there is a thread regarding my post. I have this gz250 that Im wanting to strip down a bit and convert to a cafe racer style bike. I am having a little trouble figuring out which after market forks will fit my bike. could someone help me understand what i should be looking for as far as measurements or specs that will help me identify which forks will fit my bike. I have an idea of what I want it to look like but this is my first time buying forks. Any direction would be appreciated Thanks!
