Short ride in the hills near Portland

Still new to the GZ and how it handles. Decided to take it up into the hills and do some slowish speed corner swooping. Stopped for a moment and took a few photos.

Definitively had a good time. The GZ sure likes to do smooth curves with style!

Good for you. The GZ seems to like curves and twisties. My late wife Lynda used to love riding through the mountains and enjoyed the feeling of the GZ. Lynda developed her skills on her GZ and became a very good rider. It turned out to be a turning point in her life and I was happy to be part of it. Lynda was able to develop her confidence with no mishaps after 3 seasons which lead her to an upgrade to a Suzuki M50. On more than one occasion she said the GZ made the upgrade possible.
Keep riding your GZ and trust in it's ability to carry you safely through the curves.

Funny thing is: My wife is now actively eyeing up my GZ as her 1st bike (or getting one of her own). Yes, very good to learn on and develop the skills. Really smooth in the gliding through turns.

Glad your wife found her joy riding. That's a great memory.

I am jealous as I know what the roads are like in that area. The GZ makes you feel like an experienced rider and will build your confidence and your riding ability with relatively low risk. Enjoy. Ride safe.

Yes.... the GZ is never going to be a street scorcher, but it sure is a kick to ride and really stable to learn on.

Start shopping for another bike for your wife. It will be a lot better than both of you wanting the front seat at the same time.

She's not ready yet to take the controls.... but the bug is definitely growing in her to try it out.

We probably have a year or so till it's time for another bike in the family here, with no rush. I'm loving the GZ and am not in a hurry to upgrade to a larger bike (though to be honest, the Harley 48, with the fat front and rear tires IS awfully sweet looking).
