I say this though I have the feeling I've already said it and I also have this odd feeling someone else has
said it in recent history.... I just can't remember when where.... Anywho... There was this locked up kawasaki 2 stroke triple that I was handed to get running for a friend about 20 years ago and I used an old mechanics trick..... Automatic tranny fluid..... In the spark plug holes.... Just left it for a night and some gentle WHACKING with a non metalic mallet and broke the rings free without a complete teardown. Had that thing started later that day. Finally getting somewhere...
Would you beleive today I took the cover off the bike....to get started. Nearly a year on and I am finding time to get into it. I have found it is a 1999 model thanks to a cool site with vin description etc. Anyhow, I am about to go and give it a drink of tranny fluid...thanks for that. Any idea where i can download a manual?

Go to the post of senior member Dupo from August 15, 2012 in this forum. You can download the service manual, owners manual, and parts manual from his post. Good luck with your project. Hope it goes smoothly.
