Indicator issue

Hey again,
My GZ125 failed MOT yesterday I know how to sort everything except one of the things they failed me on was offside front indicator not working. It does work when the engine is running but not when it is off.
Any ideas guys?
Thanks

never heard of this before Try the simple things first. Could be (clutching at straws here) a weak bulb filament, or loose earth. Possibly, because it sounds like the extra voltage that the bike puts out when it's running, is making the indicator work.

BTW, whereabouts in Devon are you? I had some good holidays in Torquay in the 1970s.

Just wondering if the GZ 125 does this according to design. Do we have another 125 owner on site to help out?

I think that if it was by design, both indicators wouldn't work. Sounds like it's voltage related to a certain area.

I agree......start with replacing the bulb.........mine did the same thing..The vibration of the running engine was enough to make the filament make contact.
