Help with hose

Hi gz250 enthusiasts, I have a problem finding a connection for one of my hoses. Apparently this hose starts from the valve breather and is supposed to connect to the fuel vapor separator, according to the diagram my bike has under the seat. The odd thing is I can't seem to find this fuel vapor separator which is supposed to be under my gas tank. The hose I am talking about is approximately 6 inches long and has a spring around it. My bike is a 2006 suzuki gz250. If you can help me out it would greatly be appreciated. I tried the dealer and other Motorsport stores but they can't seem to help me. Here are some pictures. Thank you.

Is this a California bike? I'm not familiar with that hose at all.

Yes it is a California bike. People have been telling me it goes under the fuel take where there is a little nipple it connects to but my tank doesn't have a such thing on it. Here's the pic of my tank

There is usually a secondary nipple on the opposite side from the petcock...

Can you show me a picture of where it connects to the bike? Does it go into the carb or what?

EDIT:
Also, where is your charcoal canister? If this system has been altered or modified by the previous owner, then I would think you could just cap off that vacuum line, zip tie it to your frame, and forget about it.
