New Handle bars

There are two options for new handle bars for the 2000 GZ250 based on the bike sub-model.
GZ250 Model K1 and GZ250 Model X/Y
How do I tell when model I have? Will it be on the VIN plate?
Thx

Probably doesn't matter which model you have. All the bars are the same diameter with slight variations(maybe) in shape or other dimensions. A good source for bar info is "Sideroadcycles.com".

You might find a S-40 bar more to your liking. There are 2 styles. Regular and drag bike. Oh wait. Mmmmm. Suzuki Intruder bars as well.

Would love to get something a little more bad-a$$, but it is wife's learner bike, and she wants to get accustomed to OE, before she gets all crazy, joins a biker gang and starts to use foul language towards kittens.

Ahh, I see said the blind man. Maybe just get 2006 bars for the wife's bike. Lynda never had any complaints with that bar.
