We haven't had Lynda's GZ since 2009 when she upgraded to a Suzuki M-50. Lynda was a nonrider until 2006. She is living proof that proper rider training and a GZ are a great duo for a new rider. Her career as a riding Grandmother was 5 years of accident/mishap free pleasure. Her final ride was a 5,000 km trip that she did alone. I wasn't even invited nor was I insulted. She wanted to do it alone and I know from experience that lone riding is a pleasure to many folks. I have gone astray again. Group riding has it's benefits but please be sure you know the other folks you ride with. Having a RickyRacer in a group will be dangerous to all involved. I rode with 6 or 7 folks who wanted to get there fast with the exception of one nice young gal with the same goals as myself........... ride safe, enjoy the scenery and get home unscathed. |
