Meh. After reading the article the fact that some of this comes down to accessories is pretty lame. But an interesting read nonetheless.

Can't comment about owning a H-D but the majority of fuel and electrical problems on all bikes are likely operator errors and foolishness. The complexity of a big touring bike is astounding with all the bells and whistles so there will always be reliability issues.
As the report says, the bikes in all categories are pretty much bullet proof in their major components with few failures. As in the car industry, the bike industry has been providing very few lemons to the public. |
