Hero for a minute.
A couple days ago I was sitting having coffee with the local guys. A rider was about to leave but his bike refused to start. Headlight went out when the starter button was pushed but no whirling starter or fuel pump noise. The bike was virtually brand new so it couldn't be an old beater on it's last legs or in need of a lot of TLC. Sidestand switch checked out, clutch pulled in, tranny in neutral. All the usual ideas as we didn't know if this fellow was a newbie on 2 wheels.
Just to check another rather common malady I wiggled the plug and wires to the clutch lever safety switch. The fuel pump whirled and the bike started instantly. A happy rider and I was a happy helper. The KISS Principle works for me. Login or Register to Remove Ads |
